Like our BBQ sauce, Jackson’s Old Time Tennessee Style Dry Rub started with a recipe from South Carolina in the 1800’s. The initial rub was only salt and pepper. Through the generations, additional spices were added to the rub to enhance its taste. Eventually, it evolved into our present day product. Our dry rub not only enhances and intensifies the flavor of meat but also adds a unique flavor to any food from eggs to prime rib. Jackson’s Old Time Tennessee Style Dry Rub is absolutely required for preparing Memphis Dry Style BBQ Ribs (see our recipe page). It can also be used along with our BBQ sauce to make all of your BBQ “stand out from the ordinary”. Your family and friends will be amazed at the unique BBQ flavors you can prepare only with our products.
For a taste of Memphis and the Old South try it on pork, beef, chicken, shrimp, lamb, avocados, salads, fried eggs, deviled eggs, buffalo wings, and steaks for starters.
